Its best to ask the Opthalmologist as he has your readings and seen your case to cover things in more detail.

Hi there - I had a graft in 1978 and it lasted 20 years. Towards the end, I found my eye watering and aching more when wearing my lens and finally when I saw the specialist, he expressed delight that the graft had lasted so long and said it had simply worn out, so put me down for another one. That one, 14 years on, is still doing very well. You may well find that, like me, I needed a cataract op in that eye a couple of years after the second graft and that was brilliant ... being naturally as blind as a bat, it improved the sight no end to the extent that at first I didn't bother with wearing a lens in that eye. However, as time has gone by, nature has reduced the clarity so I'm back to wearing one - with no problems whatsoever. Good luck with your next op. Chris W

I had a transplant in1981 and I had it redone in May of this year

along with a cataract implant. I have alot of stitches and have only

had 4 removed but the vision is amazing. I can actually see the tv

and am typing this email with no correction. I have never seen this

good in my entire life. In the other eye I wear a scleral lens. That

eye was transplanted in 1988. If u are going to have another transplant

ask about also having a cataract implant which is what gives the great

vision.
